Inspired by the Pleiades constellation and the 18th century artist’s tool, claude mirrors. Created using a unique process of water silvering onto glass, the liquid silver is composed and manipulated upon the glass to capture the swirling clouds of dust and stars that make up the constellation.  The deep blue black silk velvet backing, from one of few remaining english mills, gives illusion of the deep black softness of night, and is shot through with a slight iridescent blue flash when viewed from some angles. Framed in patinated and oil finished, engineered steel frame with brass screw detailing. Due to the silvering process each mirror is unique.
