The Black Medic is a striking yellow wild flower that flourishes in British hedgerows throughout the summer. In this design created for a commission Louise explores the tight mass of petals in the flower heads, combined with scattered leaves.

Custom made to order, the motif designed in response to dimensions, orientation and leather colour. The composition is reconfigured rather than scaled and a sketch offered for approval prior to making. Custom order supplied mounted on a panel, with or without a frame.

Unframed: 120cm x 77cm x 2cm

Blossom is shown here in white leather. Louise also works with faux leather in a wide variety of colours for locations with higher or extreme variations of humidity. Leather comes in a wide palette of colours and is sourced from an environmentally sustainable tannery in Italy.
