Georgina Brett-Chinnery specialises in creating sculptural forms in leather, blending her expertise in upholstery with traditional leather working techniques such as tooling, braiding and stitching, to celebrate the tactile essence of material.

Her artistry is in the combination of material, process and underlying meaning which informs each sculptural work. Her sculptural works are not taxidermy, rather they are birds fashioned from materials including clay and leather.

Georgina has garnered press accolades for her unique approach to design and craft, and her exceptional artistry has earned her the Cockpit Arts / Leathersellers’ Award two years running.

Georgina balances her time fashioning sculptures with responding to commissions which range from bespoke tooled leather mannequins, to leather for interior furnishings and panelled artworks.
