Nicandra Seed Pod

Artist Anne Curry MRSS

Anne’s first large outdoor sculpture inspired by a seed pod from a rather exotic blue flowered plant in a friend’s garden. Anne was fascinated by the balance of the shape, suggesting both weight and impending fruition with a hint of menace.

Photographed placed beneath a mature horse chestnut tree, the playful and ‘Alice in Wonderland’ scale of the seed pod is highlighted to great effect.

Cast to order in bronze or resin in an edition of 6. Illustration of pale grey finish on resin cast. Alternative finish colours are offered with artist approval.
